La Ligue de Hockey Junior AAA du Québec a annoncé aujourd'hui ses joueurs de la semaine RBC Groupe Financier pour la période se terminant le 4 octobre. Le titre du joueur offensif revient à l'ailier gauche des Montagnards de Sainte-Agathe, Joshua Desmarais alors que celui du joueur défensif a été décerné au défenseur du Titan de Princeville, François Paquin.

This week's offensive player, Joshua Desmarais, compiled a record of six (6) goals and seven (7) assists for thirteen (13) points in three (3) games, including one (1) three-goal game, at least four points or more in each of its three games, one (1) power-play goal, one (1) game winning goal and a differential of +3. The 20-yearl-old left winger started the week with a hat trick and added one (1) assist in a 5-4 overtime loss in Saint-Jérôme on Wednesday September 30th. Two days later, he scored two (2) goals while also adding two (2) assists in a 7-4 loss in Granby while Sunday October 4th he led the Montagnards to their first win of the season by scoring one (1) goal and added four (4) assists in a 8-4 win against Laval. Overall this season, Desmarais led its team in scoring, 1st in the league tied with David Rose from Longueuil, with a record of 16 goals, 10 assists and 26 points in 11 games. In the voting, he beat out its teammate Antoine Quévillon and left winger Dave Nolin from Princeville.

Defensively, the honor went to defenseman François Paquin from the Princeville Titan. During the past week, the twenty-year-old defenseman was not only successful defensively but also offensively while its team scored not less than 18 goals in two games while allowing only two. The veteran defenseman compiled a record of one (1) goal and six (6) assists for seven (7) points including one (1) power-play goal and a differential of +4. The veteran defenseman began the week with two assists in the 8-1 win against Terrebonne Saturday October 3rd while the next day he scored one (1) goal and added four (4) assists in the 10-1 victory against Laval. Overall this season, Paquin leads the Titan's defensemen in scoring, 5th on the team, with a record of 2 goals, 12 assists and 14 points in 10 games. In the voting, he beat out teammate Marc-Antoine Dupuis and defenseman Maxim Gervais from Longueuil.
