(RDS) - Hello Dear suffers. I am glad to write you after a victory, the whole team really appreciated it, but on a personal level, I must admit that I could be better. My injured toe is still hurting and I have not been able to practice with any intensity this week, which makes it unlikely that I will play in next Sunday's game.

Wednesday, I went to the stadium for practice. I tried to run, but the pain was too intense and I quickly stopped exercising. Thursday, I went back and this time, they put some sort of plastic mould under my toe. It felt much better, but the plastic mould started to soften and my toe began to hurt again afterwards.

I am going to try it again on Friday. They will install a more resistant plastic. This practice will be very important since it will determine whether or not I will participate in Sunday's game against the Saint-Louis Rams.

Monday night, I watched the game against the Green Bay Packers. I am glad that we won since every game is crucial from now till the end of the season.

We started up strong on Monday, by scoring 14 points in the first quarter. Nevertheless, some spectators started to boo each time we made a mistake. There is nothing we can do about that. We always give our 100% while trying to make fewer errors as possible and we know that we cannot please everyone. We don't let it get to us since we know that the majority of spectators appreciate the efforts we make to win every game.

After the game, Coach George Seifert was very happy about the victory, but he added that he thought on Monday night, the Panthers would be battling for first place in the division. I think that we all would of liked to be in that situation, but we must not forget that the injuries did not spare us. With the changes brought by the management during off-season, I was convinced that we were without a doubt make the playoffs. The defense is doing a very good job, and the offense has proven that it has great potential. Everything is still possible and none of the members of the organization has lost hope of participating in the playoffs.

On Monday night, my replacement Brad Hoover had a great game with 117 rushing yards. I was on the sidelines when the audience was chanting his name at the end of the game. I have no right to be jealous. Brad is a hard-working guy and in a situation like this, he must take advantage of the opportunity. Football is a Team sport, but each must make his place on an individual level. If he can help the team at this time of the season, I will be the first one to be happy.

No need to mention that after such a performance, Brad acquired quite a reputation in Carolina. Some fans wish that he could play a more important role within the organization. Just like the boos we talk about before; here is another proof that we cannot please everyone. On my part, I can only say that this will motivate me to play more intensely upon my return.

The Rams will be in town this week. They will have Marshall
Faulk, who was absent when we played in Saint-Louis, and probably on the Quarterback Kurt Warner. They are certainly two great players, but we will not panic. It will be the most important game of the season, as the game of the following week will in turn become the most important one. This is what our coach explained to us this week. We know that we can beat them and we intend to complete the sweep on Sunday in front of our fans.

Have a nice week and I hope that we will talk again after a second victory in a row, next week!

Viewer Questions

Q-Do you believe that the success of the Red and Gold of Laval University and the Alouettes will bring greater visibility and interest from American recruiters or do you believe that the NFL will remain closed and centralized in the United States?

A- I think that the NFL is trying to put on contract the best players available. If they are in Canada, the teams will go get them in Canada. I don't think that playing in an American university guarantees a shot at the NFL. The best players always end up in the big League.

Q- I know that you have a very strict training from the beginning of camp, but if you could cheat on something, what would it be? In other words, what is your weakness?

A- I think that if I could, I would sleep longer.
During camp, the days are very long. We arrive home around 10:00 PM, and we go to bed around 11:00 PM. Then, we must wake up at 6:00 AM the next day and start on another very intense day. Physically, It is not that easy.
